The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most important trekking destinations liked by the tourists visiting the Annapurna region. Also known as Thorong-La-Pass (5416m), this trek has stunning and panoramic views of many snow-covered mountains and beautiful lakes. 

Annapurna Circuit Trek consists of 300 km of walking through lush green forests, culturally rich villages and majestic snow mountains. The trek starts from Besisahar, district headquarters of Lamjung in Province no 4. Then, it passes through the culturally rich regions of Manang. Trekkers spend a day in Manang for high altitude and excursion. They can also explore Gangapurna glacier and visit monasteries in Manang. Annapurna Circuit Trek includes exploring natural and cultural wonders, observing tribal lifestyles and sightings of rare flora and fauna. The trek follows beaten-path used as a trade route between Nepal and Tibet in the ancient times. During the trek, trekkers can pass through Muktinath, a holy site for Hindus and Buddhists. They can also enjoy an unusually wide range of climatic zones and varying altitudes in such a small area. Annapurna Circuit Trek ascends from lowlands of Besisahar (900m) to the snowy terrain of Thorong-La Pass (5416m).

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 02: Kathmandu to Beshishahar, 6 hrs driving
Day 03: Drive to Chamche (6hrs drive) & Trekking to Taal, 2 -3 hrs trekking
Day 04: Taal to Chame (2670m), 5 hrs
Day 05: Chame to Pisang, (3300mt), 5 hrs
Day 06: Pisang to Manang (3540m), 6 hrs
Day 07: Rest day in Manang
Day 08: Manang to Ledar (4200m), 4 hrs
Day 09: Ledar to Thorong High Camp (4950m), 4 hrs
Day 10: Thorong High Camp to Muktinath (crossing Thorung-La pass 5416m), 7- 8 hrs
Day 11: Muktinath to Jomsom (2700m), 5hrs
Day 12: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara
Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu


Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m), reception in Kathmandu Airport and transportation to Hotel. O/N in Hotel with BB

Day 02: Kathmandu to Beshishahar, 6 hrs driving


After breakfast, trekkers move towards Besishahar in a private vehicle, O/N in a hotel in Besishahar.

Day 03: Drive to Chamche (6hrs drive) & Trekking to Taal, 2 -3 hrs trekking


After breakfast, trekkers start a drive to Chamche and it takes some 6 9hours. Then, they will start trekking to Taal. O/N in a tea house in Taal.

Day 04: Taal to Chame (2670m), 5 hrs


After breakfast, trekkers head uphill trail alongside the Marsyangdi River. Then, they head towards Karte, also called Khotro from where trekkers will shortly reach Dharapani. From Dharapani, trekkers head towards Bagarchhap and move ahead to Timang and Thankchowk and they finally reach Chame, the headquarters of Manang district, O/N in a hotel in Chame.

Day 05: Chame to Pisang, (3300mt), 5 hrs


The day starts through a deep forest in a steep and narrow valley, crosses a river on a long bridge at 2910 meters. Then, trekkers cross another bridge at the altitude of 3040 meters. From there, the trekkers climb to Pisang, which sprawls between 3200m & 3300 meters. O/N in Tea House at Pisang.

Day 06: Pisang to Manang (3540m), 6 hrs


After breakfast, the trekkers will walk along the beautiful track through grasslands. They can have beautiful views of the Annapurna peak. Then, they will reach Newal to enjoy the best view of the Annapurna Mountain, O/N in a hotel in Manang.

Day 07: Rest day in Manang


Manang is a stunning village situated in the broad river valley of Marshyangdi River, north of Annapurna. Tourists can explore the village and Gangapurna Lake on day 7 enjoying natural beauty in Manang.

Day 08: Manang to Ledar (4200m), 4 hrs


Early in the morning, trekkers leave Manang and view scenery similar to the Tibetan plateau. Along the way, they can see breathtaking views of Annapurna Mountain. They can pass through Gunsang Village and traverse the Gundon Khola via a bridge. Finally, they reach Ledar, O/N in a Tea House in Ledar

Day 09: Ledar to Thorong High Camp (4950m), 4 hrs


After the breakfast, the trekkers ascend steadily to a ridge prior to going down to headwaters of Marsyangdi River. Trekkers can use a bridge to cross the river. Then, they follow a narrow track across an unstable hill. Then, they climb up the Thorung La-High Camp. Walking and climbing at this altitude is usually a bit slower due to the lower oxygen content in the air. Most trekkers are surprised at how it is “harder” to walk at altitude, O/N at Tea House.

Day 10: Thorong High Camp to Muktinath (crossing Thorung-La pass 5416m), 7- 8 hrs


After breakfast, trekkers will hike up to Thorong-La pass. Then, they drop down to Muktinath, a famous location and it is one the religious sites for Buddhist and Hindu, O/N at Tea House.

Day 11: Muktinath to Jomsom (2700m), 5hrs


After breakfast, trekkers go downhill following an easy trail to Jomsom, passing by Kaagbeni on the bank of the Kali Gandaki River. Then, the trekkers follow an impressive river valley till they reach Jomsom, O/N in a Tea House in Jomsom.

Day 12: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara


After breakfast, the trekkers will take an early morning flight to Pokhara where they will explore the valley with its natural beauty and the worth-seeing places. Lakes and caves are main attraction in Pokhara.

Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu


Trekkers can either can fly to Kathmandu or take a private vehicle to Kathmandu, O/N in a hotel in Kathmandu.
14

Day 14: Departure


Visitors/trekkers can fly back to their countries or they can extend their Nepal trip exploring worth-seeing places which are in abundance in Nepal.
