Annapurna Region is one of the most popular trekking destinations of Nepal. It includes the Annapurna Range, the Dhaulagiri Range and the Kali-Gandaki River and its bank. Annapurna 1 Himal (8091m), Nilgiri Himal (7061m), Machapuchhare Himal (also known as Fishtail Mountain-6993m) and Dhaulagiri Himal (8167m) are the major attractions in the Annapurna region.
The starting and ending point for the Annapurna region is Pokhara, the city of lakes with the facilities of good hotels, resorts, bars and restaurants. Short adventure activities like paragliding, bungee jump, zipflyer, boating, short hikes to peace stupa, Australian Base camp, Ghandruk, Sarangkot with panoramic views of the snow covered mountains.
Annapurna Region is protected by the Annapurna Conservation Area that covers some the area of 7,629 sq. m. It is one of the famous conservation areas in Nepal with a varieties of flora and fauna.
