Overview
Highlights: Smell off the pine forests! stupas and monasteries.
Champadevi, hill is in the southeastern corner of the Kathmandu Valley and it is technically shares border with Makwanpur District in the south. There are several routes to reach the hill, but the most popular, and easiest to access is one that takes the visitors along the Dollu Valley through pine forests and along the grassy ridge top. This route starts from Hattiban Resort and the trail is well trodden and easy to follow. From the resort the trip will take around three hours. A less used and longer route begins just after the Dakshinkali Temple road, beyond Taudaha Lake. Visitors have to walk along the dirty roads through fields until they reach the forest where the trail climbs steeply through the forest to reach the ridge above Hattiban Resort. This will take some 4 to 6 hours.
Another route starts from the north side of the Pharping Valley (starting from Pharping village) and lead visitors north to Champadevi hill.
